Hello esteemed Valente Journal readers,

Today marks my 25th post and rather than rally against one of the many neo conservative talking heads or other types of corruptive forces that issue disinformation like there is no tomorrow, this post will cover something closer to home for me.  I’m going to comment on

the departure of ‘The Alyona Show’.  Yes, the end of an era.

This post will actually be a little different in the sense I’ll write this up as an open letter to Alyona Minkovski.  I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that I respect Alyona for her integrity, she stands on her own principles, and has never b
een afraid to back down on issues that need to be discussed by not only the main stream media (MSM), but amongst the masses in general.  Last week, I learned that her show was coming to an end.  Alyona is leaving to join Huff-Post live.  Only time will tell if it is for the better or the worse.

Dear Alyona,

I genuinely respect the fact that you won’t lose your passion for uncovering the truth, revealing it for the masses to both see and here, as indicated from this past interview and your most recent Facebook posting, but I highly doubt your new bosses at ‘Huff-Post Live’ will allow you to be as vocal as RT has permitted you to be.  The Huffington post is part of the mainstream media that you’ve rallied against day in and day out on your show since its inception.  You’ve relentlessly covered Bradly Manning’s case amongst countless other stories that should be highlighted. I’m wishing you good luck on your next chapter, but I’m not sure what your new role at Huff Post-live will actually entail.  If things don’t go as well as you expect them to at Huff-Post live, I hope RT-America is open to reviving ‘The Alyona Show’ anytime you’re ready. The first 2 minutes of your interview here on CSPAN is very telling of your character and your objectives. That being said, you know just as well as I, and several others, that you’re not going to be able to put the MSM on blast, amongst the many corporations tied to them, as often, if not ever by working for Huff-Post Live without facing serious consequences; one of which could lead to your termination.

Alas, I digress.  Alyona, I don’t really follow the Huffington Post, nor do I follow Fox News, or MSNBC with any regularity.  There is a very strong reason as to why I don’t follow these media outlets too much at all.  Do you kind of get where I’m going with this? Of course you do because you’re an intelligent journalist who hosts an opinion based talk show and have travelled the world.  You reside within the pulse of the political arena, that is Washington D.C., until you relocate back to Los Angeles.  I’m not sure if you’re migrating over to Huff-Post Live as a sort of Trojan horse, but surely, I wish you the best in regards to not, having your voice and ideas silenced.  I hope you can be just as vocal on corruption as you’ve been on your own show.  Maybe, just maybe with this new media venue, you’ll expand your audience and cause more individuals to question more and wake up to what’s really going on in our country.  Thank you for a great 2 plus years of hard hitting discussions on important and highly relevant news stories.  Thank you for the shared laughs and helping to make intellectual conversation a cool concept once more.

Edit:  I want to close this open letter to Alyona Minkovski with one of my recent favorite “Alyona Show” moments.  In the clip below, Alyona successfully puts neoconservative talk radio host, Dana Loesch, promptly in her place with regard to urinating on dead enemy combatants.  Loesch made a comment on her radio program in early January 2012 stating “I’d drop trou and do it, too. That’s me though. I want a million cool points for these guys (Marines). Is that harsh to say?”  Alyona approaches the discussion from a logic based perspective.  Loesch is part of what I presume to be the co-opted Tea Party movement, for the original Tea Party movement of 2007 dealt solely on fiscal responsibility, excessive taxation, and opposed big government.  Loesch, and many of her likeness, primarily focus on social issues and promote a barage of militarism.  Nonetheless, that’s a different story for a different day.
